Will I definitely get paid?
If you are accepted onto a Brand Brief and complete it as outlined then you will be paid. The payments vary from brief to brief dependent on the content that is required but you can always find the creative payment on the brief page.
What decides how much I am paid?
Every creator that completes a Brand Brief they will receive the fixed payment for their content (see above) as well as having the opportunity to earn a bonus.
Bonus payments are based on the quality of the content compared to the other creators collaborating on that brief.
When will I get paid?
We try to pay our creators ASAP so you can get to spending your sweet cash! We aim to pay out every brief 30 days after the deadline. If this time is likely to change we will let you know.
These are the best way to use your creative skills to earn money working with brands. These briefs are set directly by the brand and you’ll be working alongside other creators on the same brief.
These briefs are to help you stand out from the crowd and show off your creative skills. Vidsy briefs help us test out your technical skills and creativity and help you earn yourself a spot on the brand briefs.
Vidsy Squads are something a bit different! These are ongoing projects all about experimentation and pushing the boundaries to create the next generation of social content. Places are very selective as we’re looking for creators that we can trust to consistently produce great content and add something of their own style to the framework.
Why is this project not like the last one?
We’re always trying to keep things fresh at Vidsy so no two briefs are the same! Because of this, it’s important to always read the brief to make sure that you are meeting the requirements. If content does not match what is required in the brief, you risk having to reshoot or not getting paid.
How many videos are needed?
The requirements for each project are very specific therefore you need to make sure you check the brief specification to ensure you’re submitting the right number of videos. Submitting more videos is always acceptable but less will result in no payment and not being selected for future briefs.
How definite is the deadline?
We work to a tight at Vidsy HQ in order to give you as much time as possible to create. Because of this, it’s super important that you make sure you stick to the deadline. If you are having issues with the time frame then let us know as soon as possible; once the deadline lapses you will not be able to upload your videos.
What should I do if I’m unable to submit videos by the deadline, will I be unable to work with Vidsy again?
We’re creators just like you and we appreciate that mistakes, accidents and emergencies can happen. The most important thing is that you let us know if you are having any issues, we can then work with you to find a solution.
Where will my content end up? Will I be told when the campaign is going live?
This depends on the brief but most content from a Brand Brief is destined for social media. If your content is selected, the brand can use it in a variety of different ways. Soon we’ll be sharing data insights with you so you can see exactly how many people watched and engaged with your content.
We also post some of the best content on the Discover feed on the platform so keep an eye out for your content there!
Why have I not been accepted onto a brief?
The Vidsy creator community is full of different skills, styles and talents. We aim to pick the best suited creators for each brief whilst also making sure that we are constantly allowing for new creators to show off their talents.
If you want to impress us, make sure that you portfolio link is up to date with your best content and use the opportunity of Vidsy Briefs to show off your short form skills.

Every brief page has access to the video uploader. You can also find the link here.
What’s happening with my videos now I’ve sent them to you?
Once you’ve uploaded your content a lot goes on at Vidsy HQ behind the scenes. We check through all the content, make minor edits, edit captions, add overlays, present to the client, check through their selections, assign bonuses and get you creators paid! After that we then chase up new clients to make sure we have new creative briefs to get your teeth into.
Where is my content? How can I see it?
After uploading your videos you will find them in the Submitted Videos tab of your profile which only you have access to.
Videos that are shortlisted by the client will then be added to your public portfolio.
How can I see how well my videos did?
This is coming soon! If your video is used by a brand we will be soon sharing the exact stats with you so you can see how it performed. 0 to 1 million views in no time at all!
Can I post my videos on my own social media?

What happens to my videos if the brand doesn’t use them?
Since starting we’ve been building up a big old bank of great Vidsy content. If we ever come across a brand that we think could make good use of your content we will be sure to let them and yourselves know.
What do I do about music?
By uploading your video to Vidsy you are ensuring that you own all the rights to the content that you submit. Royalty free audio can be downloaded from our friends at Jukedeck or from the Youtube Audio Library. If using the Youtube Audio Library make sure that the track does not require attribution.
Releases & NDAs
What is a Performer Release?
A Performer Release has to be signed by everyone that features in your content. This is so we can make sure that they gave their permission and understood what the content was being used for.
You can download a specific release from the brief page of each project but just incase you need it, you can also download a blank one here
What is a Property Release?
A Property Release has to be signed for any private locations that you feature in your content. This could be anything from a shop or restaurant to private land such as a park. We need this is to ensure that the owner has given their permission for filming and understood what the content was being used for.
If you are filming in any private locations, you can download a blank release form here
What is an NDA?
An NDA (Non-Disclosure Agreement 🙊) is used to make sure that you don’t talk in person or on social media about the project/product until after it has been released. These aren’t required for every brief but if they are, it means we get access to brand new products before the general public!
